“LED display” covers a wide range of products — indoor fine-pitch walls, outdoor billboards, rental stage screens and interactive boards. Choosing the right one comes down to four questions: where it will live, how far people will sit, what content it will show, and what the environment demands. This guide gives you the framework, then points to the specific guides and product lines for each scenario.
Step 1 — Where Will It Be Installed?
| Scenario | Choose | See |
|---|---|---|
| Outdoor (sun & rain) | Outdoor P4–P5 (high brightness, weatherproof) | Outdoor guide |
| Indoor (boardroom / retail / control) | Indoor fine-pitch P1.53–P2.5 | Indoor guide |
| Events / touring | Rental P3.9 / P2.9 | Rental category |
| Education / collaboration | Interactive smart board 55–98″ | Smart board category |
Step 2 — What’s the Viewing Distance?
Close (2–5 m, indoor) calls for fine pitch P1.53–P1.86. Mid-range (6–15 m) suits P2.5–P4. Long-range outdoor (25 m and beyond) is where P5 and P8 make sense. Our indoor and outdoor guides each carry a distance-to-pitch table.
Step 3 — Content & Refresh Requirements
Video-conference and camera-heavy spaces want a high refresh rate (3840 Hz or above) to avoid flicker. Retail and advertising work at standard rates. Always-on control-room use benefits from redundant signal paths and front-maintenance access.
Step 4 — Environment & Structure
In the Gulf’s heat, outdoor walls need thermal management and IP-rated protection. Indoor installs turn on structure load-bearing, cabling and maintenance access. Curved or custom shapes use flexible modules (covered in the indoor guide). These are the considerations; we confirm specifics on each site.
What Affects Price
Panel price moves with pixel pitch, brightness, cabinet type and whether the build is custom. For reference panel rates by model, see the price tables in the outdoor guide and the indoor guide. Steel structure, controller, cabling, permits and installation are quoted per project.
